East Yorkshire’s most popular radio station Beverley FM, continues to grow and expand its local programming with even more new shows being announced this week. It is interesting to note that Beverley FM has more locally born programme presenters than any other radio station in East Yorkshire.
New Weekday Early Breakfast Show with Tom Lakin at 5am
Tom moves from early Breakfast shows on Saturday and Sunday mornings to weekday mornings between 5am & 7am. His only request when agreeing to do the ‘early shift’ on Beverley FM was the need for a new alarm clock!
If you have to get up early weekday mornings we recommend that you start your day with Tom.
New Daily Early Afternoon Show with Andy Donkin at 2pm
Regular afternoon listeners to Beverley FM will know that Andy has been providing great entertainment on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday afternoons for some time now. Much to the delight of the Beverley FM management team he now moves to every weekday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm.
Andy has an amazing knowledge of pop music and delights in occasionally playing a song or two that have long been forgotten and are always a great surprise to hear again!
New Saturday Early Breakfast Show with Amy Bury at 6am
When Amy Bury joined Beverley FM as a volunteer a number of years ago she had no radio experience. But with the encouragement of team members and in particular her grandfather the late Dave Hutchins who was himself a Beverley FM presenter, she learned how to operate the studio equipment and started producing great programmes for the station.
You can catch Amy on the Early Saturday Breakfast show between 6am and 8am starting on August 7th.
New Sunday Early Breakfast Show with Gemma Wilkie at 6am
Gemma is Beverley FM’s newest volunteer programme presenter and is very keen to give you a perfect start to your Sunday morning every week. Gemma has been recently assisting Andy Fea on the Interactive 80’s Show on a Wednesday evening at 8pm and she will continue to do so!
If you haven’t heard Gemma on the radio set your alarm clock for next Sunday morning – you won’t be disappointed!
