About Beverley FM

Beverley FM is a not-for-profit community radio station, specifically designed to serve Beverley and the surrounding villages, that went on air on January 20th 2015. Beverley FM provides an exciting mix of music, entertainment, news, and sport, all with a distinctly local feel, 24 hours a day, from studios in the town centre.

Beverley FM was set up by Dave Fewster, the well-known Beverley-based radio presenter and founder of the very successful local company Chem-dry in the 1980’s, alongside a group of local businessmen and radio professionals.

“We are very proud of our radio station. For a long time the town needed a radio station that is locally based and puts the interests of the Beverley community before those of Hull” Dave told Beverley FM. “I felt for many years that a radio station broadcasting from Beverley would not only be very popular in the local area, support local business and community groups, but that it should also become a vehicle for young people to gain broadcasting experience and employment in the industry and that is just what we have done,” he added.

Beverley FM is a not-for-profit community radio station, of which there are over 200 in the UK licensed by Ofcom. Beverley FM broadcasts on 107.8FM and streams online via our website.
