Turkish winger Sinik joins the Tigers
Hull City are delighted to announce the signing of Turkish winger Doğukan Sinik from Antalyaspor for an undisclosed fee.
Scoring five goals and registering 12 assists in 123 appearances for Antalyaspor, the 23-year-old has signed a three-year deal, with the club holding the option of an extra year, and will join Shota Arveladze’s side, subject to a work permit.
Born in Antayla, Türkiye, Sinik began his career with his hometown club of Antalyaspor, progressing through the youth system before making his debut as a 16-year-old in May 2015 against Elazigspor in the 1.Lig.
Making his Süper Lig debut in a 7-0 thrashing of Trabzonspor the following season, Sinik made a loan move to Antalya Kemerspor for the 2017/18 season, making 31 appearances in all competitions and scoring two goals.
Upon his return to Akrepler, Sinik became a regular for his hometown club, playing key roles in helping the club reach the Turkish Cup and Turkish Super Cup finals.
Last season, the versatile winger had his best season to date, registering seven assists and scoring three goals in 32 Süper Lig appearances.
Internationally, Sinik has represented Türkiye at both youth and senior level. Making his senior international debut on the 29th March 2022 against Italy, he scored a brace in the UEFA Nations League earlier this year in a 6-0 victory over Lithuania.
