The Beverley FM Sport “Team of the Week” was voted to be Great Driffield AFC. The newly formed team were 4-0 victors in their first-ever league game against Scarborough Athletic Reserves. Other nominated sides were; Hull Scoprions for their double victory away at Durham Spartans, Hull KR Ladies following a victory against Widnes on Sunday and Hull City Ladies after a narrow defeat in the season opener against Leeds United.

Hull City announced the departure of forward, Malik Wilks to Sheffield Wednesday for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old signed in 2020 on loan from Barnsley, Wilks joined City permanently in the summer. He scored 19 league goals and provided five assists as City were crowned League One champions in 2020/21.

England Knights have announced the latest squad for the autumn internationals. Hull FC and Hull KR both have representation, four of the five players were born in the area. Prop, Jack Brown and second-rower Jordan Lane have both impressed for the Black and Whites and are worthy of their inclusions. Ellis Longstaff FC-loanee from Warrington Wolves has had a productive end to the season at the MKM. The Robins inclusions are of a creative nature. Playmaker Mikey Lewis and hooker, Jez Litten have shone for KR this season. The Knights play France B on the 1st of October and Scotland 8th of October.

Hall Road Rangers have their first fixture of the season this evening. It is the first time that Rangers will compete in the Humber Premier League following voluntary relegation from NCEL Division One.
