The Beverley Primary Care Network which runs the Covid Vaccination Centre at Beverley Racecourse has asked us to reassure local residents who have had their appointments for second jabs cancelled that they should be rescheduled within a couple of weeks. Clinical Director Colin Garnham told Beverley FM that all patients are being recontacted with revised appointments, when vaccine supplies are confirmed, so that they’ll be vaccinated within 12-weeks of their first jab.

Beverley Racecourse has announced that vaccination isn’t the only race in town as they plan to host their first meeting of the season next week, although it will be behind closed doors. However, they’re reopening to the public with reduced capacity for meetings from 26 May. Officials told us that the limited tickets must be purchased in advance via their website which is now open for bookings. They emphasised that they’ll continue to plan based on their aspiration of staging the best race days possible with the health and safety of all guests, staff and competitors remaining their highest priority.
