North Ferriby continue their 100% record in the league with a 1-0 win over Maltby Main last night. A late Danny Buttle goal got the Villagers back to winning ways after defeats in the FA Vase and the FA Cup across the last two weeks.

Elsewhere at North Ferriby take on Penistone Church in the FA youth cup this Friday evening. Kick-off at 7:30 at the Dransfield stadium. Being an FA Cup competition ‘all must pay.’ No passes are applicable. Admission will be £3 for adults and £1 for concessions. The bar will be open and so too will the chuckwagon. Stewards will be on duty for parking. The club is working hard to build on the foundations of developing our youth into the best players and people they can be. Hopefully, in the future, you will see some of these players plying their trade in the first team.

Cherry Burton continue their tough start to the Humber Premier League season with a 5-0 defeat on the road to Scucoates Amateurs. Great Driffield drew 1-1 away at Beverley Town Reserves. The point means that Driffield stay unbeaten at the start of this season.

Hull FC have announced a contract extension for young centre Cameron Scott. The 22-year-old, former FC academy graduate has made 40 first-team appearances for the Black and Whites since his debut in 2018. The new deal sees Scott stay at the club until the end of the 2024 season.

Hull City Ladies return to the field this evening. The Tigresses have battled hard but lost both games so far this season. Encouraging signs have been seen from Chris Hames’ side and they will hope for three points at home to York City tonight.
