PR: North Ferriby vs Golcar United

North Ferriby welcome Golcar United to the Dransfield stadium this weekend. Chris Bolder’s side currently sit at the top of the table and possesses a five-point lead over second-place Emley.

The Villagers were in East Riding Senior Cup action during the week. Bolder saw his side on the end of a 3-1 defeat. Chris Bolder summed up his thoughts after the game, “the best team won on the night, and we had too many players perform under par. We had lots of possession, but we didn’t do anything with it”.

Bolder made nine changes from the side that beat Handsworth last weekend. Captain Niall Tilsley and Robbie Start the pair retaining their spot. Danny East made his return to first-team action in the Hall Road game. Bolder had this to say about the midfielder’s return, “it’s good to see he’s had no reaction after the last couple of weeks back training. It’s good to have him back and available for selection”.

The Villagers announced the signing of Josh Morrill before the Hall Road game. The left-sided defender joins the club from United Counties Side Skegness Town. Chris Bolder discussed his latest addition, “he’s technically very good, he’s not quite fit at the moment and Saturday might be too soon for him”.

Golcar moved from the North West Counties at the start of the season. They currently sit in 17th place in the table. Golcar were in county cup action themselves during the week, defeating Ossett United 3-1. Chris Bolder’s thoughts on the visitors, “I watched the highlights of the Barton game, and they were the better team. They possess an attacking threat and are in a false league position. They have some very good experienced players”.
