PR: North Ferriby vs Armthorpe Welfare

North Ferriby FC welcome Armthorpe Welfare to the Dransfield Stadium this weekend looking to build upon their impressive 4-0 win over Rossington in midweek. The Villagers put in a stellar performance to beat the playoff chasing Rossington. Two Josh Whiteley goals and one each for Louis Kirk and Tom Corner saw the Villagers on their way. Ferriby boss Chris Bolder spoke about his overall thoughts of the game, “It was our best performance of the season in and out of possession. Everything we have worked on in training and how we want the team to play, that was it last night. We asked major questions after the loss to Hallam and the lads answered”.

Ferriby’s visitors Armthorpe currently sit in tenth place in the table. Last time out, they were beaten 3-0 at home by Selby. They were due to play this midweek but their game against Shirebrook, but the game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch. Armthorpe possesses one of the league’s top strikers is Adam Baskerville. Since re-joining Armthorpe from Hallam, the striker has scored 24 goals. Chris Bolder was asked about his side’s opponents, “One minute they get a good result and the next they are getting beat. Lee Morris will be hoping that the right Armthorpe turn up and give us a game. They have players who can score goals”.

Ferriby welcomed back Harvey Carew to the matchday squad in their win over Rossington. The young winger arrives back after a short time in Sweden. Bolder was asked about the return of Carew, “He had an opportunity to play in Sweden which didn’t go the way he would have liked. We are happy to have him back and against Rossington, he caused them problems.

Ferriby will be without Louis Kirk who serves his one-match ban after his red card against Hallam. There are also a couple of knocks in the squad after the Rossington game.
