PR: Hull City vs Bristol City
A new era of excitement, optimism, with a new owner, Acun Ilicali who thrives on impulse, self-belief and success. A manager who now has his team. A new kit and new sponsors Corendon Airlines.
Ironic that in Bristol City we face an old adversary, with the complete opposite of traits. A low-key summer transfer, so far, 3 signings and a stoic manager. However, they thrashed us 5v0 at Ashton Gate 90 days ago. The Robins celebrated that day in a carnival end-of-season atmosphere, cider a plenty.
The City fans at least enjoyed a conga.
We can only guess how The Tigers will line up, will they gel in time? Can Seri and Tufan pull the strings to create enough chances for Oscar, Tetteh, or Allahyar? Aside from Bristol City away, our defence looked solid last season. The addition of Tobias Figueiredo adds invaluable experience, to a young but highly talented defence.
Will Sinik start on the left wing, and can he fill the huge void of Hull-born KLP, who left for Brentford?
The new generation of Tigers supporters need to be the 12th man to give us the edge.
I think we may take time to settle in, with a new team and style of play. I hope we can build momentum and finish the 22/23, in style, lifting the Championship play-off final winners trophy.
