PR: Hall Road vs Nostell Miners

Hall Road Rangers welcome Nostell Miners Welfare to Haworth Park on Saturday for what’s set to be another hard-fought NCEL Division One encounter. Rangers will look to keep up the pressure on the sides above them and continue their surge up the league table by picking up maximum points from this game. If they do so, it could move them up to 7th place.

Nostell currently sit in 12th place and are only four points adrift of Hall Road. This is an indication of both the significance of the game and the very competitive nature of the league as a whole. Welfare have a mixed record on the road so far this season. They’ve played 12 away games of which they’ve won five, drawn one and lost six.

The previous league meeting between the sides took place in September. On that day, Rangers left the Welfare Ground on the back of a 5-0 defeat.

Hall Road joint manager Leon Sewell says that his side are ready for the test that Nostell will pose.

“Our result last week against Teversal FC has put us in good stead for Saturday when we welcome Nostell Miners Welfare to Haworth Park.

We were back training on Wednesday night and I look forward to seeing everyone down at Haworth Park on Saturday afternoon” he said.
