PR: Goole vs North Ferriby

North Ferriby finally return to action as they travel 20 miles down the M62 to face Goole AFC.

This will be Chris Bolder’s sides first game since they saw off Albion Sports 2-0 on the 3rd of December. The trip to Hallam and the home tie against Eccleshill falling foul of the recent cold weather.

Ferriby come into the game with a six-game winning streak. The Villagers currently sit top of the table and currently boast an eleven-point advantage over second-place Emley. The season is now just over halfway. The game at Goole will be the 21st of Ferriby’s season. Bolder’s side will play a total of 38.

Chris Bolder’s side have the third-best attack and defence in the division. In their twenty games, they have scored 47 and conceded just 23.

Their hosts on Tuesday are having a different season the that of the Villagers. Simon Houghton’s side sit in 19th place and currently occupy the final relegation position. One point separates them and Bottesford. Houghton’s side have won 2 of their last 4 games. The former Pontefract manager took over at the start of November. Last time out, the Vikings suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Winterton. Like the Villagers, they have not played since the 3rd of December.

The two sides met in September; the Villagers came out on top 5-1. Danny Earl scored twice and goals from Danny Emerton, Danny Buttle and Josh Dennett secured the three points.

The two games that were postponed due to the weather have been rearranged. Ferriby will travel to Hallam on February 21st with a 7:45 kick-off. They will host Eccleshill on March 7th. Again, kicking off at 7:45.
