PR: Albion Sports vs North Ferriby

North Ferriby Fc travel to Albion Sports on Wednesday night, looking to further consolidate their position at the top of the NCEL premier division table. Wednesday’s game is the Villagers’ game I’m hand, the original game was postponed due to the hosts having an FA cup replay.

Chris Bolder’s side come into the game off the back of a 4-3 win at local rivals Winterton Rangers. In a game the Villagers looked to have wrapped up, two goals by the hosts made it a nervy finish for Bolder’s side.

Chris Bolder gave a first-team debut to development side product Antonio Ezeagba. Bolder summed up his thoughts of the youngster’s debut, “we are always looking at the development side and it’s nice for them to know there is a pathway into the first team. We know Antonio, we’ve seen him play a few times and we like what we see, and I’m really pleased for him”.

A win over Albion would put Chris Bolder’s side six points ahead of second place Emley.

The hosts, who ground share with National League north side Farsley, sit in 13th position. Last season, “the lions” narrowly avoided relegation due to the voluntary relegation taken by Staveley. This season, they have made a brighter start. Rizwan Mohammed’s side are unbeaten in their last two and overcame Bottesford 3-1 at the weekend.

Both sides have an identical defensive record. Both sides have conceded twelve goals in their eleven league games. Chris Bolder’s side edges the attacking match up, scoring twenty-six to Albion’s fourteen.
