Beverley MP Graham Stuart cut the ribbon to officially open East Riding College’s new Institute of Technology building at the Beverley campus, which is seen as responding to the need for higher-level technical engineering and construction skills to provide employers with the skilled workforce they need to drive the region’s economic recovery. Students have been using the facilities since September. The project was supported with nearly half a million pounds from the Government’s Local Growth Fund as part of its commitment to the Northern Powerhouse.

East Riding Council is once again suspending car park and on-street parking charges in Beverley on Saturdays in the run-up to to Christmas.
