Local Football club bought by green energy company

A green energy company has bought a non-league football club in East Yorkshire

Bridlington Town was put up for sale by owner Pete Smurthwaite in February of this year.

Dan Rogers, CEO of new owners HDM Worldwide, said the firm was “honoured to take the reins” of the club.

Rogers said “our focus is on maintaining a thriving football environment, creating new opportunities for the team, and giving back to the local community and the region that has been so supportive of our business. We see great potential for expansion and are committed to ensuring the club’s long-term success”.
