Film Studios approved on banks of the Humber
The plans for a purpose built film studio complex have been approved by Hull City council
Northern Films and Television would create the 1,830sq m sound-stage on land at Priory Park.
Managing Director Andrew Fenton said the facility would create career opportunities for local people without having to travel to Leeds , Manchester or London.
The hope is that the £3m studio complex could be open by the end of 2025.
Mr Fenton said: “This facility will have all the infrastructure in place for filmmakers to come here and create their work but also provide employment and develop a skilled workforce.
The complex will be built next to the companies existing studio and also includes office space, crew accommodation and a workshop.
