Free Halloween workshops for families to be held during half term

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is holding free Halloween workshops, to help families this half term, from 28 October – 1 November.

The East Riding Adult Learning and Employability service will offer these sessions as part of their family learning offer.

They will be held at Beverley, Bridlington, Cottingham and Goole adult learning centres.

The workshops on offer include a range of activities. These sessions include ‘spooky decorations’, pumpkin carving workshops, halloween costumes on a budget and haunted treats. These sessions will be open to all parents and their children, most suitable for children aged 5-11.

The adult learning service will provide all the materials, apart from halloween costumes. For the costumes session, attendees will need to bring along old clothes to refashion into costumes. This provides an excellent way to upcycle old clothes and provide kids with trick or treating costumes

Councillor Anne Handley, East Riding of Yorkshire Council leader, said “This is a fantastic service for families over the half term, providing activities with a spooky twist.”

Places for these sessions can booked by calling (01482) 887670 or enquiring online at: eryc.link/adultlearn/Halloween-2024
