East Yorkshire’s unique ‘dog-only’ pumpkin picking event returns this October

Tickets for last year’s event sold out before the patch even opened to the public

Following the success of the regions first-ever pick-your-own pumpkin events exclusively for dogs in 2023, the highly-anticipated event is making a comeback this year.

Taking place at Butt Farm Pumpkin Patch in Beverley, the ‘dog only’ sessions include hay bales, wheelbarrow and pumpkin patch photo opportunities for the perfect autumnal and Instagram-worthy Halloween snaps, a ‘have a go’ agility area, apple bobbing for dogs, a Halloween fancy dress competition, and a pop-up ‘Howl-o-ween’ dog shop by Oh My Dog, Beverley.

Tickets for last year’s events sold out before the patch even opened to the public, attracting people from miles around, leading to extra dates being added and over 500 dogs exploring the family-run patch.

Jennifer White, who runs the Butt Farm Pumpkin Patch, said: ‘We have decided to run the dog events again this year following the popularity of it last year and the joy that it brought so many people and their families.”

Lucy Thompson, owner of Oh My Dog, Beverley, said: ‘We’re a nation and certainly a region of dog lovers! It’s an honour to team up with a fellow family-run independent business to bring something different to the area. If last year’s events are anything to go by, our dog-loving community is going to love it!”

With over 20,000 pumpkins to choose from and tons of spooky treats, dogs and their owners are sure to have the most pawsome autumn as these sessions.

The Howl-o-ween Pumpkin picking events are taking place every Friday and Sunday from October 4 to October 13, between 4pm-6pm. Butt Farm Pumpkin Patch can be found at Victoria Road, Beverley, HU17 8PJ.

Tickets must be bought in advance and can be obtained from Ticketeboo, or Oh My Dog, 2 Dyer Lane, Beverley HU17 8AE. Tickets cost £5, which can be redeemed against your pumpkin purchase. (One ticket is required per dog.)
