ColdPlay Craven Park Stadium
Coldplay fans in the area have expressed their upset, anger and disappointment after encountering queue issues on Ticketmaster in this morning’s pre-sale.
After announcing they will be performing two shows at Craven Park Stadium on August 18 and 19 next year, selected fans of the globally successful, multi-award winning band were invited to a special pre-sale which went live on Ticketmaster at 9am this morning (Thursday, September 26).
However, thousands of people have taken to X to complain about encountering queue issues. One user, who joined the pre-sale at 9am, claims she started at number 90,000 in the queue – but an hour-and-half later, was at 73,000.
She wrote: “In the #Coldplay presale since 9am, started at 90,000 in the queue. Now, 1 hour 30 later, I’m at 73,000. Is there even any point in continuing? Is anyone still getting lucky? This has been such a headache.”
Another fan wrote: “Dear @coldplay the pre sale tickets only went up a few minutes ago and now being resold for ridiculous price! Cancel these tickets and give them back to the fans. @TicketmasterUK do better! A very upset #Coldplay fan #hull.”
“Well I tried for Hull I live 10 mins walk from the ground probably no chance this side of never getting a ticket, stuck on 1 min left till 9.03 then 30,000 in queue, postcode sale is too widespread, massive Geo area of probably 750,000 people,” read another post.
The two shows will be the first time Coldplay have ever played in Hull. The only other venue the band will perform in will be Wembley Stadium in London, for six dates
