Brand New Dog Show Coming to Hessle on September 15th!

Dog lovers in Hessle and surrounding areas are in for a treat! A brand-new dog show, Pups in the Park, is set to take place on September 15th at the beautiful Tower Hill Park in Hessle. This exciting event promises a fun-filled day for the entire family, including the furry members.

Pups in the Park will feature a range of activities designed to entertain and engage both dogs and their owners. The event will include a dog show with multiple categories, agility courses, and entertaining demonstrations. Whether attendees are looking to showcase their dog’s talents or simply enjoy a day out surrounded by adorable pets, there is something for everyone.

Highlights of the event include:

Dog Show Competitions: Attendees can enter their dogs in various categories such as “Best in Show,” “Waggiest Tail,” “Best Rescue,” and more.
Agility Courses: Visitors will have the opportunity to watch skilled dogs navigate challenging courses, showcasing their agility and training.
Pet-Friendly Stalls and Food Vendors: A variety of pet-related stalls will be available, along with delicious treats from local vendors, ensuring there is something for both humans and pets to enjoy.

The event is being organised by Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, a local mental health charity committed to supporting individuals within the community. All proceeds from Pups in the Park will go towards funding mental health services in the area, making it not only a fun day out but also an opportunity to contribute to a worthwhile cause. The event is kindly sponsored by Noah’s Ark Dog School and supported by Hessle Town Council.

Marie-Louise Robinson, Community Fundraiser at Hull and East Yorkshire Mind said:

‘It’s well known that having a dog, getting out and meeting people, and being in the fresh air all have a positive impact on our mental health. So, we decided to host our first fun dog show, to bring people and their pooches together for a great day out.

‘We have some wonderful stalls booked, including our main sponsor Noah’s Ark, who will be bringing their agility training equipment; Bishop Burton College Kennels and Grooming will be on hand to provide grooming advice and nail clipping; face painter The Glitter Palette will add a sparkle to the event, and the team from Starbucks Clough Road will be offering puppacinos to tempt our furry friends.’
