Beverley RUFC – 14th July

Beverley Rugby club have raised a fantastic £130,000 towards costs for the ambitious new clubhouse, but has a long way to go to make the dream a reality. Brian Gilbert, Chairman, commented “it seems particularly tough to raise money from private investors at the moment, we have done very well within the club and our membership, but have struggled to get interest from private investors towards our future. We are offering sponsorship and benefit packages for businesses that want to be associated with the club and rugby union which has strong values many of which are synonymous with good business practice; teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.”

The club lives up to these values and wants to reignite the passion for the sport in the local community, and by raising standards in the facilities offered, they can attract new talent and new partnerships that will build a strong future for the club in the heart of Beverley. The fundraising plan is expected to take another 2 to 3 years before the kind of monies are available to create a facility as shown. “Without the contribution from private local businesses, or even national, we will not make this dream come true, and we will reinvigorate our efforts to try and tap into the business community, although we appreciate it is tough times for many of them. We would love to take some partner businesses on this positive journey with us” said the Chairman.
