he Police and Crime Commissioner for our area, Jonathan Evison, is asking East Yorkshire for their views on policing and community safety. The survey will contribute to his Police and Crime Plan.

Youngsters in the East Riding are to share in a £1 million investment during the construction of a wind farm. The Dogger Bank Wind Farm will put science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), at the heart of children’s education in all 124 primary schools in the county. 

A new sculpture which celebrates the hundreds of vessels produced at Beverley Shipyard’s been unveiled. It focuses on the history of the steam trawler, Vera, built in 1907. It takes the shape of thousands of iron rivets hanging on fishing wire. The artwork by Hannah Honeywill, can be seen at Beverley Art Gallery.
