The Storm Whale: Family Concert

Dive into a heart‑warming musical adventure inspired by Benji Davies’ much‑loved Storm Whale books. Created by Music in the Round with music by Paul Rissmann, this illustrated and narrated storybook concert beautifully tells the tale of friendship, courage, and a magical encounter on the beach.
Perfect for ages 3–7 and their families, the show is filled with engaging music, memorable songs, vibrant book imagery, and plenty of chances to join in. New Paths Festival

Spring is on its way and so is the New Paths Festival!
Beverley is springing to life this month, as the festival bursts into town with 35 events from morning till night in venues all across Beverley.
Celebrating 10 years of New Paths Music, highlights include the complete cello suites of JS Bach from Jonathan Aasgaard, The Rite of Spring in the East Riding Theatre, a late-night performance of Quartet for the End of Time in the Minster and a musical take-over of the town on Saturday of festival week. Plus, 14 of these events are free, including the performance by our talented youth musicians, Voyagers and their ever‑popular concert for babies & toddlers. There’s something for everyone!

This Feeling by the Sea
Fri, 17 – Sat, 18 April, 3pm | Bridlington Spa

This Feeling’s By The Sea festival returns to Bridlington Spa on 17–18 April 2026. After a standout debut in 2023, the event is back with a lineup of rising indie‑rock artists from grassroots This Feeling gigs across the UK.
Day and weekend tickets are on sale now. Doors open at 3pm each day. Full set times will be shared on social media two weeks before the festival. Under‑14s must be accompanied by an adult.

Travel through many realms; from fair Verona, to Bowser’s castle and from Kokiri forest to the Nintendo Wii bowling alley! This brand-new play, bursting with original songs, invites you to join the East Riding Mobile Library in a celebration of community, culture, caravans, and peas.Via Bempton, Bridlington, Hornsea and Howden, we explore a region barely noticed by the nation it feeds, eroded by the pounding North Sea, can a mobile library – with its complex web of rural stops (and somewhat erratic engine) – pull together the Riding’s finest yarns?Touring 20 East Riding locations, as well as nationally, this laugh-out-loud quest through a patchwork of culture and community celebrates the forgotten, the resilient, and the wonderfully eccentric. National Theatre Live: All my Sons

Bryan Cranston and Marianne Jean-Baptiste star in a five‑star, critically acclaimed new staging of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, directed by visionary auteur Ivo Van Hove.
Set at the heart of the American dream, the play follows Joe Keller, whose wartime business success hides devastating consequences as his partner faces criminal charges and his eldest son is reported missing in action. As peace returns, Joe must confront the truth behind his choices.
Filmed live from the West End, the production also features Paapa Essiedu, Tom Glynn‑Carney, and Hayley Squires in this hauntingly timely drama.

Set in a Hampstead ladies’ club in 1922, Enchanted April follows housewife Lotty Wilton, who is tempted by an advert for “wisteria and sunshine” and a month’s escape in an Italian castle. She gathers three women to join her, and their time in Italy leads to new friendships, shared secrets and life‑changing freedom.

Our exciting youth dance programme, for young people within the East Riding of Yorkshire aged 8-18, returns for the Summer term. Running for 10 weeks, sessions will start week beginning 20 April.
