“We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Hames as First Team Manager.
We wanted a manager that would lead on recruitment, development of players and coaches and someone who would efficiently manage, coach and motivate the team. He shares similar levels of ambitions for the football club and will instil a winning culture at Hull City Ladies FC.
We’re looking forward to the upcoming season and would like to welcome anyone to any game to cheer the Tigresses on.
We are all looking forward to working with Chris to bring sustained success to our fantastic football club.”
Chris Hames said:
“I am honoured to have been given the chance to lead this club into its next chapter. The opportunity to work in a club that reflects the unique culture and character of this city is very exciting, and I hope to make this prominent our own identity in order to make us a formidable team going forward.
We have very high expectations of ourselves, but before we can talk about points, and wins and loses, we need to change our mindset. The last few years have been tough, but there is plenty of positivity about the journey back up, and this needs to be woven into our fabric from day one. We need to become positive, intense and relentless. There is a very talented group here, some who have won this division before, we need to work with that and sculpt that, with the help of some new faces too, into a team that no one wants to face.”
