Woman badly hurt in Walkington crash
A woman was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after two cars were involved in a collision on the outskirts of Walkington on Bank Holiday Monday (May 28). The accident, close to the cross roads of Walkington Heads and Copperflat Lane, meant Copperflat Lane being closed for almost two hours.
Paramedics from Yorkshire Air Ambulance, fire and police officers attended the scene of the accident between a white Vauxhall and a SEAT. “The driver of the Vauxhall, a woman, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. The driver of the Seat suffered minor injuries,” a police spokesman told us. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call Humberside Police on 101, quoting log 353.
