Weekend Preview – 15th October 2021

There are five local sporting fixtures to keep an eye on this weekend, following a quiet week.

Beverley Town return to league action following the highly entertaining victory in the cup last weekend. Town will have a trip to Reckitts and hope to continue the unbeaten start to the season. Mike Thompson spoke to reporter Tom Cavanagh on the Thursday Night Fixture.

Hull City travel to Huddersfield on Saturday. City won last time out prior to the international break, with a change of formation. Another victory would relieve some pressure from the under-pressure Head Coach, Grant McCann. Our Hull City reporter, Mike Try was discussing the Tigers on the Thursday Night Fixture.

North Ferriby take a short journey across the M62 to Selby for this weekend’s fixture as they take on Selby Town. The Villagers will hope to continue an impressive start to the league season, which has seen them yet to lose a game. Ferriby has kindly provided a full match preview.

Beverley RUFC host Selby at Beaver Park. In previous fixtures, it has been an entertaining but feisty affair. The Beavers will hope to return to winning ways following a defeat at West Leeds. Chairman Brian Gilbert spoke to reporter Tom Cavanagh last night.

Hull City Ladies performed valiantly away at table-toppers Wolves last Sunday losing out 3-2. This weekend they welcome West Brom to Haworth Park. The Tigress’ are still yet to put a victory on the board this season but there have been encouraging signs in recent weeks.
