SWINEMOOR Primary School in Beverley continues to be rated as “outstanding” by Ofsted following its most recent inspection earlier this year. The report described the school as “a unique and special place”, praised the work of the school’s leaders and the quality of pupils work and behaviour who, they said, “consistently behave in a considerate and orderly manner”.

The school was officially rated outstanding in March 2017 and this is the first follow-up Ofsted visit and inspection since then. The report can be viewed here 

THE FLEMINGATE Centre will be turning blue next Tuesday in support of World Parkinson’s Day. It joins other public buildings and monuments across Hull and the East Riding, including Hull Minster, Hull Guildhall and City Hall and the MKM Stadium.

BEVERLEY Rugby Union Club’s recent Ladies Day raised £4,050 for the oncology department at Castle Hill Hospital. The money raised will be used to purchase a blanket warmer for the centre and the club’s next Ladies Day is planned for September.

HUMBERSIDE Fire and Rescue has launched its “Getting Summer Ready” safety campaign, highlighting the dangers of cold-water shock and hidden dangers in our waterways, as well as promoting safe cooking and barbecuing practices. Officers stress: “Never swim alone in case you need help”
