Yesterday was once again frustrating for our local sides in the NCEL Division One. North Ferriby drew again. Whilst Hall Road Rangers lost heavily to Selby Town. Hull City face Derby this evening and have also made a new signing ahead of the game.

North Ferriby welcomed Brigg Town to the Dransfield on Tuesday night looking to bounce back after a late goal cost them victory over Rossington at the weekend. Brigg on the other hand were looking to bounce back after a thrilling 4-3 defeat to Selby. Ash Walker was reporting from the game – North Ferriby 2-2 Brigg Town.

Hall Road Rangers suffered a heavy defeat on Tuesday night as they lost 5-1 at Selby Town. Rangers were in the game for the first 75 minutes and possessed an attacking threat. Oliver Harsley was reporting for Hall Road as they lost – Selby Town 5-1 Hall Road Rangers.

Hull City will host Derby County this evening. The Tigers hope to recover from the 3-0 defeat to QPR on Saturday afternoon. There were encouraging signs from the game, another day City may have walked away with three points. Attacking midfielder George Moncur will be missing for the next two fixtures after receiving a red card. Tom Haymes of Hull City OSC has a full report.

Hull City have announced former midfielder Tom Huddlestone has re-joined the club. The 34-year-old has joined on a one-year deal, with a club option of a further year. Huddlestone had been training with City during pre-season to regain fitness, this was beneficial to both parties with Huddlestone providing experience to a youthful side. Originally at the club during a historic and the most successful period, the midfielder made 161 appearances. Going the other way was winger Thomas Mayer to Austrian second division side SKU Amstetten. Mayer made 14 appearances since joining almost a year ago.
