East Riding of Yorkshire Council is inviting residents to give their views on climate change through an interactive online questionnaire. Following the declaration of a climate emergency in February, the Council is committed to achieving net zero through a number of measures, including reducing its own carbon emissions, and is in the process of developing a Climate Change Strategy for the East Riding. The survey will remain live online until Sunday February 27.

East Yorkshire Buses have brought back their “travel anywhere for a £1 after 7pm” deal, starting today and running through until the end of December. And finally, Beverley’s best known artists, Fred and Mary Elwell, will be celebrated in a new play next Spring at the East Riding Theatre in Beverley. It’s called “Paint The Town Fred” and has been written by local actor and playwright Gordon Meredith, thanks to funding from East Riding Council, Arts Council England, and the Humber Museums Partnership.
