Wedding venue licence approved
A controversial wedding venue which has already been given planning permission by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, has now secured a licence for alcohol and entertainment, despite continued objections from local residents. Yasmin Clappison, who is opening The Beverley Barn with fiance Phil Hagyard, told councillors: “We have welcomed planning restrictions with regards to noise levels, the playing of outdoor music and vacating the premises by users.”
Objections from residents living near the venue included noise nuisance and safety fears from traffic. The committee granted a premises licence from 9am to 11.30pm for alcohol and entertainment, subject to a 21-day appeal period.
