Volunteers sought for research project
A European-funded research project to develop new ways to help people living with memory problems has issued an appeal for people living in Beverley and East Yorkshire to take part. The research team at Hull University is looking for 200 volunteers from across the county.
The study will develop and test ways that digital technology can make life better for sufferers and their helpers. Some of those who volunteer will be given a free touch-screen tablet device and training to use it, and will be visited by researchers every six months to find out whether the technology is helping them.
Anyone aged 50 or over with memory problems, or their carers, who would like to join the project can call the Research and Development Team on 01482 301844.
