Two in court after raid on jewellers
Detectives investigating a burglary at Hugh Rice jewellers in Saturday Market, Beverley, on Monday November 6th, have arrested two men, who have since appeared in court.
The store was broken into around 4am and a large amount of stock, including Pandora charms & jewellery, Nomination charms & jewellery, Thomas Sabo charms & jewellery, Olivia Burton ladies watches and Michael Kors ladies & gents’ watches and jewellery, was stolen.
The two men have now been charged as part of the ongoing investigation: Ian Billany (39) and Lee Rose (37) both of Morpeth Street, Hull appeared at Hull Magistrates Court last Friday (November 10th) and each were charged with burglary.
Both were remanded to prison and are due to appear next at Hull Crown Court on Friday December 8th.
A police spokesman told us: “As enquiries continue we are making a further appeal to identify this man (pictured) believed to be involved in the burglary as seen in the attached CCTV. If you know who this is please get in touch. We are also repeating our appeal for anyone with information or anyone who has been offered items believed to be stolen in the burglary to contact us by calling 101 and quoting log 56 of November 6th.
