Beverley’s Parkway Cinema is organising its own version of the Cans Film Festival this weekend, when movie fans can attend a special screening in exchange for tinned food. Families can enjoy a special showing of Tom & Jerry The Movie on Sunday morning by donating two cans per person that will then be donated to the East Yorkshire Food Bank. Tinned fruit, custard, rice pudding and vegetables are suggested items. Parkway general manager Cliff Baillee told Beverley FM: “We wanted to help the community in a fun and unique way. We hope our customers will donate as much as possible.” More information from beverley.parkwaycinemas.co.uk  Anyone facing hunger can contact the foodbank on 01482 772060
