YOUNG DANCERS from Beverley have come third in the world street dance championships, held in Blackpool. The BDC Royals (pictured below), who train at Base Fitness on the Phoenix Enterprise Park in Riverview Road, were representing England, with the winners and runners-up coming from Belgium and Germany.

They were competing in the Under 16s class of the competition, organised by the United Dance Organisation and were up against a total of 24 teams. As England’s representatives they were already regarded as the best street dance crew in the country. The Base Dance Company is now enrolling for new sessions starting in September – more details via their Facebook page.
