Three of our local footballing sides return to action this evening. Beverley Town, North Ferriby and Hall Road Rangers all are playing in their respective leagues.

Beverley Town open their league campaign away at LIV Supplies. Mike Thompson’s men enjoyed a productive and encouraging pre-season. After only dropping three points in a defeat to South Cave last season, Town hope to continue the impressive run which saw them champions of the Humber Premier League.

North Ferriby will look to continue their unbeaten start to the season when they entertain FC Humber United at the Dransfield Stadium on Tuesday night, kick-off 7-45 p.m. The Villagers go into the game on the back of three draws following an opening day win at Shirebrook. This is after a 1-1 draw with Hall Road on Saturday. Read the full preview of this evenings game on our website.

Oliver Harsley reports ahead of this evening’s fixture for Hall Road; Hall Road continue their league campaign with a trip to Hallam FC on Tuesday night. Hallam have collected one point from their first three league games. They’ve suffered back-to-back defeats against Rossington Main and Brigg Town in their last two NCEL Division One matches.

Sewell summed up by switching his attention to the Hallam game.
“Hallam’s manager Craig Denton has been around for a while and he knows the league inside out. He’s got a lot of experienced players. Playing against Hallam is never easy, never mind playing away at Hallam. There’s so many things to contend with including getting through the traffic and getting into the ground. We’ll be well-rested. Everybody got through the Ferriby game with no injuries so that’s a massive positive. We should also have a couple of the half a dozen lads who were out on Saturday back available for this game. It’s another game that we’re going into with confidence” Sewell concluded.
