Tuesday 21st September 2021

This evening both of our NCEL Division One teams are back in action. North Ferriby have a trip to Dronfield. Hall Road Rangers host Shirebrook, who are sat at the foot of the table.

North Ferriby will hope to continue an excellent unbeaten run in the league with a trip to Derbyshire. A victory tonight would make it seven wins on the bounce for the Villagers. Depending on results elsewhere Ferriby could move as high as 2nd in the table. Dronfield had an awful start with no wins from the opening eight games, but two wins from the last three will provide some much-needed confidence.

Report by Oliver Harsley: Hall Road will aim to get back on track on Tuesday night as they welcome Shirebrook Town to Haworth Park. Shirebrook sit at the bottom of the league table, and they’ve picked up three points from their nine league games. Jordan Catnott’s side have lost their last five league games on the bounce. Moreover, Shirebrook have lost all four of their away games so far this season.

Sewell summed up by focusing on the upcoming Shirebrook game.

“Tuesday night at home to Shirebrook comes around quickly. We’ll dust ourselves down and all the lads have spoken and everyone’s willing to stay and dig deep to try and turn the screw. Nobody likes losing and the lads don’t turn up to lose on purpose. Losing, just like winning, is a habit and unfortunately, it’s a bad habit. We need to snap out of that pretty quickly” Sewell concluded.
