THE OWNERS of a new Beverley business park are confident the £10m development could create up to 100 jobs having secured a prestigious national tenant and fielded a huge number of inquiries from a wide range of businesses. Capital Park is an 80,000 sq ft development on Annie Reed Road, within the Grovehill Industrial Estate, designed by Brooklands Property Holdings Ltd., a privately-owned property investment and development company based at Hesslewood Hall in Hessle.

Brooklands’ portfolio already includes a number of retail units in Beverley, occupied by the likes of Jigsaw, Crew Clothing, Kavanaghs Cafe & Tea Room and The Modern Draper. Capital Park recently welcomed national brand Euro Car Parts on a ten-year lease, joining telecoms company Cumberland Coms.

Brooklands CEO Debbie Barbor said: “We are obviously thrilled to have secured such a well-known national name like Euro Car Parts and our projections indicate that the development could create at least 100 new full- time jobs, which is a great boost for the local labour market.”

BEVERLEY Tesco supermarket’s community champion Dave Ryley visited Brandesburton Primary School this week to hand over a £500 cheque as part of its community grants scheme. The money will be used to complete improvements to the foundation stage outside area. Head teacher Lucy Northern told us: “With this help, we will make such a difference to our project of making learning outside just as important as inside the classroom.
