Beverley residents and businesses have less than two weeks to give feedback on Saturday Market’s trial pedestrian area.
East Riding Council introduced the trial scheme in May 2021 to encourage more people to spend more time in the town centre. It is due to end in May next year and the council launched a consultation last month to get feedback from the community before it decides whether to make the pedestrian area permanent.
In response to initial feedback from residents and local businesses, the council made some improvements to the area in November last year. These included additional public seating and planters, four new blue badge-holder spaces and a full circulation lane around the car park to improve safety. The trial was then extended to next May.
The deadline for feedback is Monday November 27 and can be given via an online survey
