Hull FC had their Player of the Year awards virtually once again. Prop-forward Chris Satae had a fantastic season and was rightfully rewarded with Players Player of the Year and Supporters Player of the Year. Cameron Scott was awarded Young Player of the Year. Academy Player of the Season went to half-back Jacob Hookem who made a couple of sporadic appearances in the first team this season.

Hull Kingston Rovers return to the field this evening and are 80 minutes from a potential first appearance in the Grand Final. The Robins shocked many to reach the play-offs and produced a heroic performance to not only beat but nil Warrington last weekend. The major team news is winger Ryan Hall may be fit again following an arm injury. The Dragons will offer a hostile environment after winning the League Leaders Shield. Catalans may be without key man and Sam Tomkins through a knee injury. Rovers have lost on all three occasions this season to the French-based side but will hope to put that right this evening. Martin Cattle spoke with Simon Bromwich ahead of the kick-off tonight.

Beverley Town have a top of the table clash on Saturday afternoon when they face Westella and Willerby. Reporter Tom Cavanagh caught up with manager Mike Thompson.

Beverley RUFC raised over £3000 last weekend for the Daisy Appeal which was a phenomenal feat and some great generosity. On top of that, the Beavers thrashed Bradford Salem 55-5. Chairman Brian Gilbert spoke to Tom Cavanagh about last weekend and this weekends trip to West Leeds.
