Police say they are patrolling the Molescroft Pavilion area every evening following complaints by residents. There’ve been reports of anti-social behaviour and litter issues. It’s also a matter that the Mayor of Beverley Councillor Linda Johnson has highlighted. Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Lucy Kevan has confirmed that officers are talking to a group of young people, who meet there, about their behaviour and to respect the law.

Beverley Town Council will hold its first face-to-face full meeting this Monday. It follows the Government’s decision that councils should stop having remote sessions, with COVID restrictions easing. Toll Gavel Church will be the venue and the public are asked to let the Council know by midday on Monday that they will attend. It starts at 6.30.

It’s national Volunteers Week and the Beverley-based charity, ERVAS, has launched a free toolkit to help groups manage their volunteers. The package includes 20 recruitment and policy templates to cover a range of tasks. The details can be found at www.ervas.org.uk.
