RESIDENTS are being invited to a third open exhibition to view plans for a proposed new household recycling centre for Beverley. It will be held on Thursday November 3 in the Education Room of Beverley Treasure House from 5 to 7.30pm.

East Riding Council has unveiled plans to replace the current recycling site at Weel by creating a new facility on land to the west of Ings Road, off Grange Way. It will be much larger and more spacious, with better access and capacity to cope with the area’s expanding population. Another open exhibition is being held on Monday October 31 from 1.30pm to 4.30pm at Beverley Enterprise Centre, in Beck View Road. It follows a first successful exhibition held at the centre on Monday this week.

BEVERLEY MP Graham Stuart has expressed his sorrow at the resignation of Liz Truss as Prime Minister. Pledging his support to her successor, he told Beverley FM: “I have been proud to serve during her Premiership as Minister for Climate working to deliver the Government’s positive vision to achieve our aim of making the UK Net Zero by 2050.

EAST RIDING Council’s Covid-19 vaccine bus will be visiting Flemingate today, from 10am to 4pm, and again the following Saturday, October 29. Autumn booster jabs are available for those aged 12-plus.
