Rugby League: Hull FC lose out amid late drama
Hull FC 10 – 14 Wigan Warriors (Saturday June 16)
A dramatic last-gasp victory saw Wigan end their four-match losing run to take the points at the KCom on Saturday; a result that leaves them second in super league.
With the scores locked on 10-10, Wigan’s Sam Tomkins went for a late drop goal to put the Cherry & Whites ahead by one point, but his attempt hit the bar, only for Sean O’Loughlin to tee up Liam Marshall to go over in the corner.
Bureta Faraimo with two tries and a solitary goal from Connor were Hull FC’s points scorers. It was FC’s first home defeat of 2018, but they remain fifth in the table.
