Rugby League: Hull FC ‘in the pink’ with new shirt
Hull FC have revealed their new-look away shirt for the 2018 season, in association with the “Make a Difference, Together” charity. The pink-coloured shirt, together with an alternative training range, follows on from last year’s bright coloured away shirt that become the club’s best-selling ever.
The colour takes inspiration from the “Make a Difference, Together” logo to help support and raise awareness for the work the charity does in the local area – it raises money for children with disabilities to give them special experiences and opportunities as well as offering support to their families. The club will be working with the charity throughout the year on a number of fundraising events, whilst Hull FC forward Liam Watts is also one of their ambassadors.
They are also working with the Black and Whites to encourage over 100 businesses to sponsor a junior membership which will be donated to disabled youngsters and families in the area, withthe club’s new main sponsors being the first to get on board.
As part of the launch of the new away shirt, Goldthorpe Property Maintenance have also teamed up with the charity to give a young disabled supporter and their family a special home makeover. Some familiar faces from the Black and Whites will be getting involved on the surprise home makeover project too, picking up the tools and paint brushes to help out as well.
The lucky fan will get a complete Hull FC themed makeover to their bedroom, complete with furniture, pictures and one or two extra special treats.
Just like the popular new traditional home shirt, the design of the away shirt includes Danny Houghton’s testimonial logo, with a donation from every shirt sold going to his testimonial fund.
