Roadworks may cause disruption
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has announced details of two major roadworks schemes that may affect Beverley motorists.
The first, which sees improvements to the carriageway on the A15 Humberfield roundabout at Hessle, is due to start next Monday (August 19) for ten nights and will be carried out between 8pm and 6am, Monday to Friday.
The work will be carried out in two phases. During the first week, the slip roads off the A63 eastbound will be closed and access to the roundabout from North Ferriby will not be possible.
Traffic will be diverted on a signed route along the A63 to St Andrew’s Quay roundabout, then on to Boothferry Road to the Humber Bridge roundabout. During the second week, the reverse direction will be signposted, when it will not be possible to access the A63 from the Humber Bridge roundabout.
The second scheme will see major road surface improvements along the A165 in Beeford. The work is due to start on Monday September 2nd, running from Monday to Friday over an eight week period.
