What show do you present and when?
The Morning Mix on Tuesday and Wednesday each week from 10am – 12 noon.
What do you love most about being at Beverley FM?
Being part of a brilliant team drawn together by a love of radio and being part of a community that it’s a privilege – and also fun – to spotlight on Beverley FM. It’s a world away from celebrity-obsessed media, and it’s just great to meet, interview and report on the lives, work and achievements of Beverley and East Yorkshire people. I’ve been in journalism most of my career but I always wanted to work in radio. I left it a bit late, but it’s a dream come true!
If you could travel anywhere you haven’t already been, where would it be?
The Canadian Rockies! I’d love to explore them on a long scenic route by rail; then take some guided walks in the spectacular national parks, and finally take a cruise to go whale spotting.
Where’s your favourite place in East Yorkshire?
I love walking and the Yorkshire Wolds is a favourite place. I completed the 79 mile Wolds Way a few years ago from the Humber Estuary to Filey Brigg and it was stunning to see it all in one go over a week’s rambling. I love to take shorter walks at the weekend and every time I’m out there I can’t believe we have such beautiful countryside right here on our doorstep!
What’s your favourite comfort food?
Fish and chips – with lashings of tomato sauce. Sometimes nothing else will do!!
