Pr: Swallownest v North Ferriby

North Ferriby take their unbeaten run on the road again on Saturday when they travel to Sheffield based Swallownest with a 3 p.m. kick-off. The Villagers haven’t lost so far in their seven games so far and boast the best defence in the division having conceded just four goals.

The Villagers were led in midweek by a Tom Corner hat-trick in a 6-0 drubbing of Harrogate Railway Athletic at the Dransfield with other goals from Danny East, Danny Buttle and Jamie Forrester. This kind of win is something Assistant Manager Paul Robson wants to continue on Saturday.

“Every game is going to be a tricky one but we are now back to how we want to play and we will be looking to build on how we performed on Tuesday night,” said Robson. Adding: “We have to continue where we ended and start the game on the front foot.”

Ferriby go into the game without the injured Liam Nelthorpe and Jason Mycoe who is unavailable with Iwan Heely missing after his Achilles operation. On the plus side, both Harry Fenton and Eddie Rogerson could well be called back into the squad for the game.

The sixth-placed Villagers go to a Swallownest side who have yet to win a game at home and lie in 17th place in the table and having netted just seven times in their seven games. In contrast, Ferriby have hit the net sixteen times and conceded a miserly four.

North Ferriby Development team will travel to Gainsborough Trinity on Friday night in the Preliminary Round of this seasons FA Youth Cup with a 7-30 p.m. kick-off.
