PR: Shirebrook Town vs Hall Road

Hall Road Rangers will look to get back to winning ways on Saturday when they head to Shirebrook Town. Winless in their last two league games, Rangers know that a win in this game could edge them further up the NCEL Division One table.

However, they face a Shirebrook side who are unbeaten in their last six league games. During this run, Jordan Catnott’s team have picked up victories against Clipstone FC, Nostell Miners Welfare and Rainworth Miners Welfare as well as draws against North Ferriby FC, Rossington Main and Brigg Town.

Shirebrook possess a fairly good home record. They’ve played 15 games at the Langwith Road Ground and have won six, drawn three and lost six. Rangers and Shirebrook previously faced each other in September at Haworth Park. A Sam Robinson brace and a goal from Bailey Smith earned Hall Road all three points in a 3-2 win.

Hall Road joint boss Leon Sewell knows that his side face another difficult challenge on the road.

“We’ve got to go again and we’ve got another tough place to go on Saturday away at Shirebrook. We’ll get the lads sorted and hopefully we’ll have one or two bodies back in the side.

There might be a bit of player rotation so we’ll be going there full throttle and ready to kick off come three o’clock” he said.
