PR: Selby Town vs North Ferriby

Coming up this weekend, it is the trip to Selby Town for the Villagers. The Villagers will be looking to get back to winning ways after a frustrating 1-1 draw at home against Ollerton Town last weekend. It was a last gasp equaliser from the Nottinghamshire based side that ended the Villagers winning run that had stood at eight. The Villagers handed a debut to new signing Josh Whitley on Saturday and when asked about the clubs new forward Chris Bolder stated, “We always have our ears close to the ground and we always want to improve, and this is something Josh gives us”.

The Villagers will be facing a Selby side that also holds ambitions to finish high up the NCEL Division 1 table. Kristian Fox’s side currently sit in 8th place. The Robins will come into the game fresh, after having a week off last week. The North Yorkshire outfit have lost their last two league games and will be eager to get back to winning ways. When asked about what Selby will offer on Saturday Ferriby boss Chris Bolder said, “They have a big goal threat, and this mainly comes from their front three. Liam Flanagan and Harry Clapham have scored goals for them this year and we will need to be at our best defensively to keep them at bay”.

The Villagers will be without skipper Niall Tilsley who received a two-match ban after receiving his second red card of the season against Ollerton. The Villagers will go into the game without Matty Plummer who remains injured. There will also be no Oliver Kemp due to injury.  Liam Nelthorpe is set to return.
