Pr: Rossington Main vs Hall Road Rangers

Hall Road Rangers are on their travels on Saturday afternoon as they take on Rossington Main. Coming into this game on the back of two successive league wins, Rangers will be full of confidence and they’ll be eager to impress against higher placed opposition.

Rossington have won six of their nine league games and they sit in 3rd place in the NCEL Division One table. Ben Hunter’s team have won five of their last six league games and scored 17 goals in the process. Main are also unbeaten in the five home games they’ve played so far this campaign which consists of four wins and a draw.

Therefore, this highlights the serious challenge that Hall Road face as they aim to produce a performance that’s enough to get them some hard-earned points.

The Rangers defence will have a lot of work to do as they come up against two potent threats in the Rossington attack. These being Jack Watson and Niall Doran. Watson has a tally of nine goals in all competitions whilst Doran has seven goals to his name.

Hall Road boss Leon Sewell is looking forward to the game.

“Rossington are flying at the moment sitting 3rd in the league with five wins from their last six games and unbeaten at Oxford Street.

It’ll certainly be a great game and one that we’ll be heading to Doncaster with a full compliment squad wise and also on the back of two victories.

We’ll definitely have to be at our best to make sure we put in a positive performance as we look to pick up further points away from home” Sewell said.
