PR: Rainworth MW vs Hall Road Rangers
Following the postponement of their trip to Dronfield Town on Saturday, Hall Road Rangers resume their league campaign on Tuesday night when they travel to Rainworth Miners Welfare. Rangers will hope to continue their positive form of late which has seen them go five league games unbeaten. A victory at Rainworth would move Hall Road up into 13th place in the NCEL Division One table.
Meanwhile, Rainworth are in 16th place and they’re currently on a three game unbeaten run in the league. This consists of wins against Worsbrough Bridge Athletic and Glasshoughton Welfare plus a draw against Ollerton Town.
The Wrens have had very mixed fortunes in their home games so far this season. They’ve won two, drawn one and lost six at Kirklington Road thus far.
Morgan Boyle is Rainworth’s top scorer with six league games to his name. Overall, the Wrens have scored 22 goals in their 18 league games.
On the other hand, Rainworth have conceded 42 goals which is one goal more than Hall Road’s own record which currently stands at 41.
Rangers joint boss Leon Sewell says that his side are fully prepared for this upcoming test.
“It’s a long way to go on a Tuesday night. However, we’ll be travelling with a strong 14.
We trained on Saturday afternoon after the Dronfield Town game was postponed and we’ll be travelling with a fit and sharp squad of 14.
Rainworth are a new club and ground for me personally and I’m certain it’ll also be for a few of the lads.
We’ll be giving it 100% to ensure we continue our unbeaten run and return home with a positive result” he said.
