PR: Parkgate vs Hall Road
Following their home defeat against Rainworth Miners Welfare on Tuesday night, Hall Road Rangers are seeking a positive response as they travel to Parkgate FC on Saturday.
Rangers joint manager Leon Sewell says that his players have to take responsibility and put in a much improved performance this weekend.
“We’re going away to Parkgate on Saturday. The lads have got between now and then to give their heads a shaking and buck their ideas up.
I want answers as to why that was as poor as it was on Tuesday night. It just wasn’t acceptable” he said.
Parkgate will definitely provide a very difficult test as they sit in the top half of the NCEL Division One table. The Steelmen occupy 8th position and are in good form having won four of their last six league games.
Furthermore, Andy Dawson’s side have a good home record with eight wins picked up from 18 home games played so far this season.
Brandon Bagley is the Steelmen’s main attacking threat. He’s got 19 goals in all competitions and has bagged eight goals in his last six league games.
The reverse fixture between the sides took place last November at Haworth Park with Rangers winning 1-0 thanks to a header from Alex Knaggs.
